Amazon.com Product Description The gDiapers diapering system is an innovative, convenient, "green" alternative to traditional disposable diapers. They consist of a "little g" pants reusable, washable outer layer, which is fitted with the absorbent, fully decomposable refill. The gDiapers Flushable Refill pack for Small sizes includes 40 refills. They are for use with small-sized "little g" pants, which fit babies 8 to 14 pounds. | gDiapers offer: - Flushable, decomposable diapers that offer an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional disposables
- Breathable, non-plastic diapering system that keeps baby's skin healthier
- Decomposable liners can be composted
| | | | Flushable, Decomposable Diapers The gDiaper refills are completely decomposable. They're made from sustainably farmed wood fluff pulp, sodium polyacrylate (SAP), which provides absorbency, and cellulose rayon. And they can be flushed down the toilet, which has a couple of wonderful benefits. First, it eliminates the need to keep smelly diapers around in a diaper pail. Second, it keeps unnecessary waste out of the landfills. And finally, the entire contents of the diaper gets processed by sewage treatment plants, which return treated, completely sanitized solids to be converted into valuable fertilizer. It's recycling at its best! If you're unable to flush the liners, they can still be thrown in the trash without guilt, since they will decompose in 50 to 150 days -- a much better turnaround than their plastic counterparts. And, if you're a gardener, you can simply throw the wet liners in your compost bin. (Note: for sanitary reasons, never put poopy diapers in the compost.) As Easy As Traditional Disposables -- but Healthier To use the gDiaper refills, simply fit the disposable refill into the "little g" pant's washable liner. Once the diaper is soiled, simply remove the refill from the liner and flush it. The "little g pant" itself sports an adorable style and trim silhouette. With easy-to-use rear Velcro closures, it's just as easy to put on a baby as traditional disposable diapers -- no pins to deal with here. Plus, its breathable qualities help keep baby's skin healthier by minimizing diaper rash. Tips for Successful gDiaper Use Some plumbing systems may have problems with the flushable liners, including systems with tree-infested pipes; non-standard plumbing systems, including grinders or house traps; and septic tanks, which require close monitoring to make sure the outflow is clear. It is recommended that only poopy diapers be put into septic systems, and wet ones be composted. But even if your plumbing system won't accept the gDiaper flushables, you can always simply throw them in the trash where they'll quickly decompose, making a much more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional disposable diapers. Product Description gDiapers flushable refills are plastic free. They contain super-absorbing lock away cells (SAP) for high absorbency both day and night. The outer material is made of all natural fibers and has a stay dry feel. Refills can be flushed, composted (wet ones only) or thrown away.

Great Product, Great Price September 4, 2010 Brooklyn Bargain Hunter (Brooklyn, NY) I love gDiapers. I have been using them since my baby was born, first the tiny gpants, then the small size gpants. I've never had any blowouts with these, and these are really convenient for trips out of the house. My baby has pretty chunky legs, so I think that may be why they fit so well. I like having the option of using the disposable liners or gcloth. I'm transitioning my baby to the medium size gpants at the moment, which also fit great. Definitely give these diapers a try!
gDiapers Flushable Inserts-great! August 27, 2010 Kim Edwards (Southern Mass., USA) Love these. I use them in gDiapers & other cloth, even over cloth inserts to extend the time between changes (when necessary, like bedtime, etc.) Stock up when you see a good price!
I love this diapers!! August 23, 2010 E. Arreola (Chicago, IL) I wish I would have found this diapers before. I am very happy with them. My daughter has not had any problems wearing them. She has not had any diaper rashes and they absorv wetness great!. I recommend them! the price is worth it.
Great diapers June 30, 2010 Martha Blankenship (Grove, OK USA) You just gotta love these diapers. Easy to flush or toss and great for the environment too. I don't have any issues with the diapers and they have yet to contribute to/cause diaper rash problems with my little one.
Green Combo June 1, 2010 C. OBrien 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I was pregnant and trying to decide what to get in terms of cloth diapers, I saw so many mixed reviews on each brand. So, I decided to get a little of each and see what we liked best once our little one arrived. We've actually arrived at our own combination: we use the cloth fuzzibunz and place a gdiaper insert on top of it. The fuzzibunz are just so much softer than the gdiaper exterior, and this way we have double protection all the time! The gdiaper inserts hold tons, so on a typical change we can just replace that part and reuse the fuzzibunz.
